The Timmermans-Zick Award

 

Annually, the Boston Chapter of EWGA awards an outstanding member with the prestigious Timmermans-Zick award.  Created to honor the founders of the Boston Chapter, Karen Timmermans and Jean Zick the award recognizes a member who has positively impacted the Chapter through involvement and participation; is known as a leader; promotes the Chapter as a means to foster friendships and promotes the advancement of women in golf.
 
The recipients of the Timmermans-Zick award are Karen Timmermans, Jean Zick, Ann Donovan, Pandora Picciano, Jan Olmstead, Emily Strawn, Kris Filan, Cathie Ellison Scheeren, Kathy Creedon, Martha Donovan, Sue Curtain, Judy Kokinda,  MaryBeth Foster, Heather Annaloro, Dee Bouffard, Linda Gilbert, Chris Swistro and Ginny Evans.

 

The 2011 honoree is Jackie Corcoran, for her significant contributions to the chapter in many areas.

 

 

The Boston Chapter Ambassador Award


Created in 2009, the Boston Chapter Ambassador Award recognizes a member who promotes the Chapter's mission of connecting women to learn, play and enjoy golf for fun and business.  This member is willing to volunteer for any task and encourages others to do so.  This member also seeks out and welcomes new members at events.
 
The first recipient of the award was Beth Hayes.  The 2010 winner is Karen Cardillo.
