EWGA Championship

The Northeast Semi-Final contest of the EWGA Championship series was held on August 21 at The Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley, MA. Advancing to the Finals are:

Boston's Scramble Team (Mari Ingram, Christine Ferrick, Linda Gilbert, & Jill Tyzack)
Robin Duffy - First Net, Second Flight
Maryann Navin - First Net, Fourth Flight

Also placing:

Dee Bouffard - Second Gross, Third flight
Kathy LeBlanc - Third Net, First Flight

Chapter Championship

On July 17 the 2010 Chapter Championship took place at the scenic Highfields Golf & Country Club in Grafton, MA.

The EWGA Championship is the largest women's amateur tournament of its kind with more than 2,400 members participating in 2009. The Championship provides members at all skill levels the opportunity to compete in tournament golf - against members of the same playing ability.

The first round of competition is at the Chapter level. Then, advancing players compete in the Northeast semi-finals, which will be held August 21 at Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley, MA. The last stop is the finals - a 2-day, 36-hole event, which will be held October 1-2 at Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva, WI.

Good luck to the scramble team and nine stroke play competitors that are advancing to the semi-final round: Mari Ingram, Jill Tyzack, Christine Ferrick, Linda Gilbert, Lynne Palazzi, Judy Placek, Kathy LeBlanc, Robin Duffy, Robin Haley, Paige Sargent, Dee Bouffard, Renee Madlangbayan and Maryann Navin.
