Timmermans-Zick Award


Timmermans-Zick Award 

   The Timmermans-Zick Award was established to honor the founders of the EWGA Boston Chapter, Karen Timmermans and Jean Zick. The first award was presented to the Boston Chapter founders in 1996. 

Criteria & Qualifications - The recipient will have the following characteristics:

·         spirited and committed, who has positively impacted the Chapter through her involvement and participation;

·         known by her peers as a leader and team player;

·         supports and promotes the Chapter as a means to foster friendships;

·         promotes the advancement of women in golf;

·         has been a member of the Boston Chapter for one year or more;

·         participates in league play or events

·         current board members are not eligible

How to Submit a Nomination - Do you know a member who meets the award criteria? If so, send your nominee's name and a brief reason for nominating this individual to this email link:  Chaptercommunications@ewgaboston.org

Nominations must be received by Friday March 3rd. Each nomination will be considered and voted on by the Board. The winner will be presented the award at the Boston Chapter KICK OFF event on Sunday March 26th at Granite Links in Quincy.

Granite Links Golf Club - 100 Quarry Hills Drive - Quincy, MA - March 26, 2017 - 10am-2pm



Our annual Kick-Off is wonderful pre-golf season event which includes brunch buffet, networking, prize table, vendors, guest speakers, awards and the preview of the many events and competitions for the upcoming season.

We invite all women throughout the community to join in our celebration. Come and discover what golf can bring to your life and the wealth of opportunities that EWGA membership provides. We are building more than great connections.  Whether you are an experienced golfer or are interested in learning and have never played – this is your opportunity to get involved, meet more women and have a great time.

If you are already a member, Kickoff is a great way to get ready for the season and reconnect with your golf buddies. Come and learn about our many leagues in the Greater Boston and Southern New Hampshire areas.  Be among the first to learn about our golf clinics and social events and get a jump on your season planning with information about our very special weekend golf events.  If you are interested in a little fun competition, this is a great place to learn about our various Chapter and EWGA National competitions. Join us and get your golf fever fired up!

 All League and Event players qualify to participate in our “BIRDIE EAGLE HOLE IN ONE” club.

If you score a Birdie, Eagle, Hole in one or Better (double eagle, etc) during any EWGA Boston Event or League, you qualify for a drawing for a prize at the end of season event.

The 19th Hole is often a spot where we relax after the round and enjoy company of friends and discuss our game that day. It is here where great ideas come up on how EWGA Boston can do things differently and better.
